What started as a celebration of one of the most iconic arcade games ever made quickly turned into one of those days that reminds you why events like this matter in the first place.

Players travelled from across the country, the competition stayed unbelievably close all day, and in a moment that honestly felt too perfect to script, Walter Day himself turned up to take it all in.

Then came the final hour.

With the competition still wide open, the crowd gathered around as a kill screen was finally achieved live on stage. For anyone who loves arcade gaming, it was one of those moments. The kind where the whole room understands what they’re watching.

It was a brilliant weekend from start to finish.
