Choplifter is a side-scrolling arcade game developed by Dan Gorlin and published by Brøderbund. In the game, the player controls a helicopter and must rescue hostages and bring them to safety while avoiding enemy fire.

Description

The player controls a helicopter and must navigate through a war-torn landscape to reach a series of hostages. The hostages are scattered throughout the levels and must be rescued and brought to safety. Along the way, the player must avoid enemy fire and obstacles while collecting power-ups and bonuses. Choplifter features simple, yet addictive gameplay, with a focus on quick reflexes and strategy. The game also features a challenging difficulty curve, with progressively more difficult levels as the player progresses through the game. Additionally, the game features a 2D graphics style with colourful and detailed environments.

How to Play

Choplifter is controlled using an arcade joystick and buttons. The joystick is used to control the movement of the helicopter, while the buttons are used for firing weapons and controlling the speed of the helicopter. The objective of Choplifter is to rescue as many hostages as possible and bring them to safety. Points are awarded for each successful rescue and for destroying enemy forces. The game features several levels, each with its own set of challenges and obstacles.
