After Burner Climax puts you bacvk in the cockpit of an F-14 Super Tomcat, F-15E Strike Eagle or F/A-19E Super Hornet in 4 different colour variations, fully loaded with guns and missiles. Afterburner Climax features 20 new stages including Volcanic Islands, an Iceberg Base, Nuclear Arsenal, plus secret and extra stages.
The enemy country "Z" has exploited its arsenal of nuclear weapons and announced its threat on world power. Beginning with attacks on weaker neighbouring countries, "Z" plans an aggressive nuclear weapon launch on larger forces in approximately 48 hours. After failed peace talks, the UN has commanded the secret G.H.O.S.T squadron to stop enemy plans by land, air and sea.
You have recently graduated to the Brave Fangs Aero Team and have been assigned the Jaguar flight to defeat the rebels of the skies. Your sole mission: to stop an all out nuclear inferno
To control your fighter jet, players use a throttle which allows them to alter their speed. Pushing the throttle forward increases the speed, whilst pulling back slows the jet down.
To change direction, players use a joystick which is also equipped with a number of buttons to utilise the range of weapons available at their disposal.
